Luminosity Gaming has expanded their Super Smash Bros division with the addition of rising star Mustafa "ICE" Akcakaya, as their first Melee player.

ICE joins popular Japanese player, Abadango on Luminosity, who shows no signs of slowing down when it comes to expansion and growth.  Representing Berlin, Germany, Mustafa first started competing in 2008.  Fast forward to today and he's known as the best German Melee player in the World.  He is ranked 1st on the German Melee Power Rankings, and is currently ranked 3rd on the European Melee Power Rankings.  In the early stages of his career he was often referred to as one of the best Sheik players, before later switching his main to Fox.

His first taste of success came at EVO 2013 where he placed 7th.  Following that he placed 9th at Apex 2014.  It has really been late 2016 where Mustafa has shinned brightest though.  All in sucussion - he placed 3rd at Syndicate 2016, losing to Westballz.  He would then seek revenge at Kickstart 11 on Sept 17th, 2016 where he defeated Westballz and placed 1st.  His latest result was an impressive run through the bracket at The Big House 6 where he placed 3rd, losing 1-3 to Armada.

"Fortunate enough to get to know Mustafa, his vision, and his goals over the last while, it became crystal clear to me that this was a player and person every org would be lucky to have represent them.  We are happy to support a rising talent like Mustafa.  With that support, we fully anticipate he will polish his skills even further and cement himself as one of the best Melee players in the World.  I'm looking forward to cheering him on this weekend at Eclipse 2.  We've sent him a few jerseys, but he's been so hot lately, he turns them to crisp on contact.  With a name like ICE, it wasn't a problem we anticipated, but I suppose now I know how his opponents feel! Go get 'em ICE!" ~ Steve Maida, CEO

His first tournament will be Eclipse 2 in Norwary, which is ongoing currently.

VOTE NOW!  ICE is also in contention to be votted into the Smash Summit tournament.  He needs the support of his existing fans and #LGLOYAL to vote for him.
