Over the weekend, the second Call of Duty World League Open Event of the season took place in Fort Worth, Texas. Our Call of Duty team was coming into this $325,000 tournament with high hopes of taking the Championship and proving all the doubters wrong after a rough start to the CWL Pro League just weeks prior, and they did just that.

Day one opened up with us taking back to back victories against Excelerate Gaming and Midnight Esports in Pool Play. While already securing a spot in the Championship Bracket, we would go head to head against Splyce for our final pool play match fighting for first seed. Splyce had gotten our number this time as we dropped the series 1-3 to close out the night.

A fresh day was ahead of as we tackled the Championship Bracket with our first match against potential favorites, Gen.G in a Game 5 win. Keeping the momentum rolling, we steamed through E6 with a 3-0 clean sweep to end Day 2 of CWL Fort Worth.

Championship Sunday had arrived and we met back up with Splyce in the Winner's Finals to fight for a spot in the Grand Finals. The series was close, but we punched our spot in the Grand Finals after knocking Splyce down to the lower bracket with a 3-1 series victory.

Splyce took down Team Reciprocity in the Lower Bracket Finals, which means we'd meet up with them for a third time this tournament and we were ready. We came out firing taking Map 1, 250-160 and didn't slow down when it came to the second map. Now up 2-0 in the series, we fought hard on Frequency Control, but Splyce was able to snag that away from us. Heading back to the second hardpoint of the series, it was a tug of war battle, but it ended with us taking Hacienda Hardpoint, 250-226 and being crowned the CWL Fort Worth Champions!

Peirce "Gunless" Hillman was named MVP dropping monstrous kill death ratios of 1.35 in Hardpoint, 1.44 in S&D, and 1.07 in Control.

This event displayed the potential we have as a team and have always known we have had. Every single player stepped up, worked together as a team, and earned the championship. Now we are headed back to the CWL Pro League for the Cross Division Week with a chip under our belt and we're ready to keep that heat going!
